Rubamin SARL is having its copper smelting unit in the copper rich province of Haut-Katanga. It has a capacity to produce 25000 MT of copper blister by submerged arc furnace operation.
Minerals such as Malachite Ore, Cuprite, Azurite, Covellite and Chalcopyrite are treated through thermal decomposition, calcination and reduction. The operations are being upgraded through support from induction furnaces for quality enhancement and briquetting plant for energy saving and efficiencies.
Other support infrastructure includes advanced quality testing laboratory, SAP controlled large engineering store, administrative block with VSAT / SAP links, employee housing colony, etc.
